Hi, im building a Desk and im wondering what Generic Depth (look at the design) i should use? and what wood is best?

Am i even posting in the right place here? XD

P.S. the 2cm used for wood width is just there as a random number, since i could use thicker/thinner wood.

P.P.S. The height of the top shelf is going to be about 3x more in the real thing.

Stick to ply for the work surface, and sides. 18mm should be fine more rigid than MDF if that is what you were going to use. will cost you about £25 for 8'x4' sheet. You could get away with 12mm sides. For your legs and supports you could possibly use some planed 2"x2".
