Hi there,

I thought since you are tradesmen, you might have specialist knowledge on this. I've been hunting like crazy for a ceramic (or induction) hob to replace my solid plate hob for quite some time now. It's about 12 years old and has had its day.

Trouble is, the aperture in my countertop is 550 x 470 mm. I can't find any ceramic or induction hobs (or even a combination of both) that will fit this.

Would anyone happen to know of any hobs that will fit this size? Please let me know if you happen to know of any. The hob I use now is 580 x 500 mm. It's the aperture that I'm having trouble with.

Thanks a lot.

A Smeg SE2631ID1?

Thanks for your reply. Just had a look at it. The technical drawing says that the cutout has to be 460x490 mm, so it can't work with my countertop.

So, I'm still looking

Yor hob is exactly the same size as my old Baumatic. Take a look at the spec for the current model B10 - it's pretty close & luckily the cut-out is a tiny bit bigger

if the aperture is too small cant you just enlarge it.most gas hobs i fit new are larger and reqs the worktop cutting to accomodate.
