no, it has UBM written on it.
He tells me: it has a crome dimple centre about 1 and half inch diameter, and the bit you screw up and down is ribbed, but you can see through it.
They fit any radiator apparently. but the ones he has are about 15 yrs old! He wants a like-for-like replacement.
Could UBM be a manufacturer?

apologies for the "blonde-ness" of this post 
UBM = United Builders Merchants. Long since gone the way of most old British companies. Valve will actually have been manufactured by some other old British company and simply "badged" as UBM. Forget about getting hold of one today, just replace with a Thermostatic Rad Valve of your choice.

He was aware (he tells me) of replacing the whole valve, but he was hoping to simply buy replacement valve, and only use the top half - thus eliminating having to drain down the system!
