Hi all

New to the forum and in desperate need of advice.

I have a very old boiler in my kitchen it is something called a BAXI. To light it you have to press in a grey button for 10 seconds then press the red ignition button and keep your finger on the grey button for approximately a further 30 seconds and then it flares up. Yesterday I needed to light it again after the gas went. It ignites but when you take your finger off the grey button it keeps going out. Does anyone recognize this problem as I'm short on funds and can't afford to replace it.

regards

charly

Your gonny be even more skint M8 coz your going to have to get a corgi reg fitter out. :? Oh and hope it is the thermo couple coz there cheaper than a gas Vv.

Look on the COrgi website and you should be able to find someone very local to you. Its the sort of job I do on the way home for £30. Often it's a bit late, ie when the customer has got home from work, so everyone's happy.
