Let me start by saying that this was installed by an Electrician and I was issued an Electrical Certificate at the end of this. Around 5 years ago.

For context, this was my old consumer unit which is now being used as a sub-main in the garage. I have my main CU inside the house.

Do I need to buy the individual blanking plates or is there something wider? Do they come in generic sizes?
Also, the flap is broken. Can this be sourced separately?

Thanks in advance.

MCB blanks come a variety of "types" depending on the manufacturer.

For yours you need these:

As for the cover - I might have one of those in my CU graveyard!

RCD of a type which isn't permitted
MCBs which were subject to a safety recall some years ago
Broken plastic enclosure with parts missing.

It's scrap. Don't waste any time or money on it.

What do you recommend for this?
My main CU is a dual RCD board with a few RCBOs.

@Jupiter01 What is your understanding of a sub-main?

With respect you can not state that that RCD isn’t permitted

That’s pure nonsense

Sure you wouldn’t fit it now, but the regs are not retrospective

I may have used the wrong term. The garage board is fed off a MCB on my main board. The garage board powers a ring circuit in the garage, the garage door and some lights.

Do you guys recommend a board change in this instance? If yes, what should I use for this purpose?

At a minimum, I want to put the blanks in the current board.

Thanks for your help.
