Hi all,

Our Neff dishwasher has broken. Its not getting water inside the dishwasher. You turn it on and you can hear water flowing but nothing is getting actually into it.
I've opened up the front plate at the bottom and these are pictures of whats inside.

I turned it on while the plate was open to see what happened. The water fills up the tank on the left, but keeps on going. The water then flows out somewhere and leaks down the outside of that blue tube from above (i've tried to explain with my arrows). Covering the wires and what looks like a motor/solenoid?

What I would like to know, is this a typical symptom of a faulty component, or is it a bit vague? Im happy to call someone out to have a look, but if it was a rather straight forward job then I would have liked to attempted it myself.

Thanks for your help and I hope I've been clear enough.

(in case it mattered I couldnt find a model number but these were printed on the inside of the door)

If you take the side off that covers the brake tank (large clear plastic tank on side) you may find it is blocked with crud (not uncommon)

Thanks Leccy,
Sorry its taken me a few weeks to get back to this post.

From what you have said am I to gather I need to pull the dishwasher out, pop the whole side off and look for the brake tank?

Thanks again

Yes its not un common for the tank to get blocked up or the pipes from it that go to the pressure chamber to get blocked.

On the brake tank there may be a micro switch that controls the water level and I have seen this fail preventing the machine from sensing it is full so it keeps filling.
