I have just bought one of these hobs too, and am trying to install it as we speak.

Do youo have to make the connections between the live terminals yourself? And if so, with what?

Have connected mine up, and the two back rings work, but the fronts don't!

It's getting late, and I want to go to bed!

Aren't there ready fitted copper links in place or supplied in a bag??

What do the instructions say?

The instructions say the usual - "Get a qualified installler"

No links that I can see, certainly nothing in the box.

It's OK - there were some copper links - cunningly hidden in a secret compartment near the terminals.

Works fine now!

Thanks for responding though!

You say "thanks for responding, though!" as if my posts did not help you.

I just bridged mine using some of the live conductor that I cut from the cable I was using to connect it. A tight fit but works fine.

Yeah Secure! Thanks for trying, but I solved it on my own following exactly the suggestion you supplied!

I just bridged mine using a rusty old nail i found in a shoe in my garden, and some wet string!

Hi

I have exactly the same issue, my 'electrician' as connected up my Neff t1213 hob but only the back too hobs are working. He says its all connected so must be a faulty unit.

The wires are connected to Connection 4 and 5. Connections 1,2,3 are blank.

Am i right in saying, if my understanding of the above is correct that the Live should be connected to 1, then bridged to 2 and 3. The neutral should then be connected to 5 and bridged to 4.

The earth is attached to the earth connector below the above 5 terminals.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
