I've got something similar to this for an electric shower.

The on/off operation works correctly and supplies/disengages power to the electric shower. However, the neon light always stays on. I've not looked inside yet. Can this be fixed or does the whole switch need to be replaced?

Thanks for your help.

It was indeed the cables that needed switching around but in the electricians defence, there was no “supply” or “load” printed on the terminals.

It was an MK 2 gang switch.

He is a liar, then.

It clearly says SUPPLY and LOAD.

Can’t think why you, with all your years of experience, needed a so-called electrician to change a simple switch!

Whoopsie why did I think it was a pull switch?

However, on your photo the switch is clearly marked L1, N1 & L2, N2. Which is a regular convention for isolators where the “1” terminals are supply.
Even if there are no markings (which I doubt) then anyone with an IQ of more than three would know that the NEON wires will connect to the side of the switch that is the LOAD terminals. It’s obvious.
