Hi,
Is there any way to convert AVi files to DVD format i.e to play on my mums standard DVD player, using Nero or do I have to buy another converting program?

AVI to DVD conversion can be done but all you end up doing is magnifying the poorer quality of AVI. Buy her a new dvd player you should get change out of fifty notes.
