Are there a number of lives that go to the boiler(and pump)....?

Hi ctlsleh welcome to the forum

I assume your question is about your boiler and not nilesh's. So you should really have started your own new post not tagged on to someone else's. It causes a lot of confusion and complication when discussing two installations on a single thread. It is known as hijacking and is also against the forum rules.

Anyway, to answer your question, the Nest is a combined programmer and thermostat. It's Heatlink replaces an existing programmer. The wiring at the motorised valves, pump and boiler don't change (unless the programmer is an integral part of the boiler) Any existing room thermostat must also be bypassed as the Nest also has this function built in.

If you have any further questions, please start your own new thread. If you don't know how to, go to the plumbing and central heating forum home page and click on the orange button at the top left marked "Post New Thread" but you will need to give more information. We don't even know what make / model of boiler that you have.
