Nest Doorbell: No such thing as a 12-24v wired doorbell?

Most door bell transformers are NOT designed for continuous use such as supplying power to a Nest or similar item.

Found the problem, do not buy doorbell cable from Amazon. It was merriway bell cable from other people in reviews have had the same problem, think this cable has too much resistance.

Changed the 5 metre run from the transformer to chime with bnq bell cable and it works perfect on 12 volts. Thanks for the help :)
