Some of them, yes. As posted earlier at least some new ones and those installed since 2021 are recyclable.
So it's not a good reason to object to new wind turbines. Not anymore. It's like complaining about petrol vehicles because their exhaust contains lead from leaded petrol.
I am not complaining about them I think they are great.
According to National Grid, between 85 and 90% of a wind turbine is recyclable, and is recycled.
And they typically last 20-25 yrs.
Its the blades that are the problem
The thing is, when this is mentioned to pro net zero politicians and tree huggers, they dismiss it, saying the UK can be a trailblazer in this area, showing other countries how it should be done. It's irrelevant to them what the actual benefits are, they are hell bent on us adopting all these measures NOW to prevent the earth imploding within ... what's their most recent guesstimate ... a decade?

You don’t want to address the fact the biggest rise in energy bills has been caused by fossil fuels not renewables.
If we let it go for another 20 years then try again, every other country will have moved ahead with green technology, so we would be behind.
