Never had a Magnetic Filter fitted - beneficial only after new boiler install?

Never had a magnetic filter fitted. Will this be beneficial or would it be better to add an inhibitor. I am not sure if the current boiler had inhibitor added or whether it was flushed properly.

I have no issue with the boiler but was wondering as winter is approaching to make sure the boiler was running as efficiently as possible.

You may as well add inhibitor when the Magnaclean is fitted as it is then so easy to do.

Having both will be better than just one (or none!)
