As yet TV not in use, new 55 inch to replace old 42 inch, but there are loads of SCART to AV units, I have used them for years. No electronics involved. To be frank, not used the DVD or Blu-ray player in years. The same goes for CD player, I am sure the CD is better quality, but so easy to say hey google play whatever, I never bother with a CD any more.

All I want is the specials, the video of the Falklands, or the family, and not played them in years.

I worked in educational AV when SCARTS first came in.
People went from stealing the VHS players (we screwed them down)
To stealing SCART leads.
They were £25 a pop when beer was about £1 a pint

So simple, that somewhere, I have a SCART plug, with the phono sockets mounted straight on the back of it.
