Hi, I am at the stage of fitting the new bath, it’s a very tight fit, removed the tiles from the walls and going to remove the radiator to make things easier but it still looks like it won’t fit, it’s very tight, any tips please folks?

ps, this is my 1st bath....

Measure the bath and the space where it is to be installed. If the space is too small ,fit a smaller bath.

I changed mine a year ago. I smashed it out and chopped into the wall at both ends to give me some play. I cleaned the wall up to the tile line. I then fitted it in at an angle then fitted the legs on and then adjusted it up to meet the tiles.

Only thing I would say about that is that there will then only be one seal along the tap end of the bath and in my experience that invariably isn't enough to last longer term.

If it's needed for a wall to be cut out then I'd only cut the end that's furthest away from the taps/shower.

Hi, needs cutting both ends but I will fit some 3 by 2 wood on the shower end flush with the bath edge so I will gain the thickness of the old tile and plasterboard, hopefully this will be enough.
