can anybody help....i am having a complete bathroom refit ,but before i start laying floor tiles i need some advice on the floor itself.my existing floorboards are extremely old and uneven, with huge gaps in between.instead of placing plyboard on top can i replace the boards with thicker plyboard or the moisture repelled chipboard....this way i would a new floor and a good level compared to my landing floor.your advice is greatly appreciated

I would recommend W.B.P.ply of at least 25mm depth or better still 2x18mm screwed together at 150mm centres to prevent any movement of the floor which will result in cracked tiles .
