Hi,

I recently had a bathroom done. the installer fitted a fused spare under the sink.
Is this safe/within regs?

Thanks.

Yes

Though I don't like it

I suppose he wanted it out of sight

What is it for?

It turns off a shaver socket and an LED mirror. It's new, so all nicely sealed my concern is possible leaks in the future?

Indeed.

It would benefit from a durable label.

The position suggests it is fed from a socket circuit under the floor.

An alternative would have been to supply from the lighting circuit, with the switch near the ceiling.

Do the bathroom circuits have RCD protection?

Agreed. The skill is to get there before the tiler & plumber and stake your claim!
Yeah right:LOL: Plumbers don't seem to recognise other services, I've seen pipes run across electrical fittings far too many times.

Though, when we built our house, the plumber almost came to fisticuffs with the spark, who repeatedly ran cables through the holes drilled by the plumber for the next day!

Is that the first known recorded instance of another tradesperson out-tw@tting a plumber, rather than the other way round?
