Just wondering if anyone can help me out.
I have fitted two new lights in my bathroom and since i have done that sometimes when i turn the bathroom lights off the RCD trips in the fuse box which takes out all the sockets in my flat.
The lights i have fitted are these: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/catalogId/1500001151/partNumber/4325860.htm
Its been doing my head in as its intermittent and not happening all the time. The lights MCB is on the non RCD side of the fuse box. Its only been happening since i fitted these new bathroom lights as i thought it must be them. I have checked out the wiring for both the lights which seems ok.
I have now removed one of the lights and fitted the old light on. Trying to find out if one of the lights is dodgy by process of elimination.
Just been searching the net and theres a few instances of people changing the RCD for a new one.
My flat was only built in 2004 so i doubt it would be the wiring and i didnt have any problems before i fitted the lights.
