Hello all.

This is my first post so please be patient.

Me and my husband are in the process of putting in a new bathroom suite and was going to be using service valve (the little chrome slotted ones) from screwfix on the basin and WC.

However, after reading some posts on here it seems this not advisable?

What should we use instead, with it still looking neat?

Thank you all.

Sue.

... There was an on-going argument on the above URL about this. However, I've always used them and never had any problems.

They look alot neater than a 1/4 turn valve, etc.

So, my personal opinion is use them :) ... but some may say not?

I second yerino on that one, never had trouble.

Just buy them from a Plumber's merchant such as Plumb Centre because their fittings are WRAS approved, they only leak when they are bought from small builders merchants and they have bought them in from abroad, abroad means cheapo.
