I have had a new gas combi boiler fitted in a house I am to sell.
The plumber said he was corgi registered (and the logo was on his card) but I now have my doubts because he was a bit evasive about certificates.
What documentation / certificates should I have been left or recieved in due course ??
Thankyou Steve

Thankyou again .. he didnt ask for / fill in this book ?

The buyers solicitor is asking for a certificate of compliance ??
What is this ??

the benchmark may be printed in the back of the installation instructions
you will receive a certificate of compliance from corgi/gas safe when the installer notify's the installation

Thanks for your time ... I am now informer ,albeit a little late.
Guess what he hasnt answered his phone all week :(
(I will try from a different no, tommorrow)
All I have is a name and tel no.
Is another plumber allowed to complete the paperwork .. no doubt it will cost me!

another RGi could do it

best of luck finding someone who is willing to do it

if the punter you had in is willing to break the law and defraud you and the gwn and the HMC&E whats the cahnces he has done a decent enough job that someone else will take full legal responsibility for it???

I wouldnt thats for sure.

was his the cheapest quote??

Made the mistake of not getting quotes.
Came recommended by a neice.
Charged £250 to 'swop' the boiler (I bought boiler & fittings) and connect gas hob to exsisting supply.
Took a day. Is this 'cheap' ?
Talking of which , should I get a different certificate for the GAS HOB ?

OMG thats is as cheap as chips:)

A day!!

did he flush the system??

and yes you should get a ticket for the hob

i assume from that, that the system was not power flushed or cleaned
that's why benchmark may not have been filled in, was corrosion inhibitor added to system
if it was installed before 1st April 09 then you will need a certificate from corgi for the gas hob
was boiler installed before 1st April or after
yes £250 is very cheap
did you not ask to see the installers gas card
