hi

i am replacing my old boiler (potterton kingfisher) by converting the old open vented gravity system to a sealed system. i am thinking of put in the vaillant ecotec plus 831HE,

i have 7 radiators (i think they are over 20years old) in the house, i like to keep 5 old one and change 2 of rads as i need to reposition them.
can i keep my old radiators and use a new combi?

the pipe work is copper and will be power flushed

many thanks

king

You can do anything you like as long as the system is properly cleaned and inhibited.

As Tony says do what you like as long as system is cleaned properly.

Also might be wise while system is down, to change all the rad valves.
The thing with doing what you are proposing, is that converting from open vented to pressurised, can sometimes( and usally does) on older systems, find any weak points in the system pipe work etc.
