A safety report is just what it says it is: a report on the safety, it does not check the quality of the boiler.
Anybody who can tell you that a perfectly working boiler will die within the next to years, is a much better engineer than I am.
Either that, or he needs more work and has chosen you to supply it.
If the engineer left the boiler working, no 22 mm pipe needs to be replaced with 28.
Be wary of "special offers" and "discounts"; the only things that counts are:
Do you get a good quality boiler?
Will the installation be done properly?
How much is the actual bill going to be? (I'd rather pay £2000 with no discount, than £4500 with £750 discount)
What will they actually do for that amount?
For the time being, just keep your boiler where it is, and the money in your pocket.[/b]
