Hi,

We have a new build, and you can see the actual shape of the plaster-boards on the walls and ceilings. I can see where they have taped it but shouldn't it be skimmed over so you can't see the boards?

Thanks

Mark

You either skim boards or tape and join it, but either way you shouldn’t see the board joins, although often do under certain light. Possible causes: square edge boards used for tape and join instead of tapered edge, joints not pre-filled before skimming, skim on too thin, not hard troweled at the end to flatten the board lines.... not ideal but fairly common.

Cheers pal,

They want to come out to rectify.. does that mean re skimming the ceilings and walls?
