a friend took a ten year old car ( toyota ?) in for MOT - had to have all new lights bulbs and a pair of bicycle indicators screwed on rear bumper ! WHAT?

Bicycles don't have indicators! Hell, you're doing well if you find one with a bloody tail light, half the time!

Might this have been an old "grey import" from the USA where they make the relevant tail light flash, instead of having indicators?
