I'm about to clad our garage in tanalised softwood. We did think about larch but it will look different to anything else in the garden, plus its obviously more expensive. So I'm looking to add some protection. I don't want anything coloured and I don't mind if the cladding weathers a little over time. I want it to last and not to rot and I don't mind having to re-coat every couple of years. But I don't want something that will sit on the surface and potentially flake or crack. So I was wondering about an oil or maybe even just applying a liberal dose of wood preserver every so often. I've also heard good things about Osmo products. Anyone got any advice?
