Just had a new Ecotec Plus 831 fitted to replace a twenty year old Ideal W2000 RS60.
After running it for a month with no control system fitted I realised how controllable it was by just adjusting the flow temperature. My old boiler had a Danfoss TP5E RF programmable room stat which was good but basically only switched on and off.
After doing a bit of research on here I decided the VC470f was the way to go for me so I fitted one a couple of weeks ago. I'm very pleased with it, it was easy to fit and programme and is working well. I realise it's the silly season for heating but I've set the heat curve to 1.7 and control to modulation and it's working well.
I've just stood the outside sensor temporarily on a wall until it was up and running.
My question is, is there an optimum height to fit it, there's no mention of height in the installation manual.

Thanks

Have you tried asking your supplier? I'm sure they would be happy to help you out with their problem

Approx half the height of the building (not including the roof) on a North/West facing wall.

Thanks for that Stormer, is there anything else I need to tweak?
Can you explain pump blocking time?
Thanks again.
