I am going to buy the stuff for my new cooker circuit (i know it will need to be fitted by a "propper" spark) but please could you tell me what size cable and mcb i will require for a 4kw oven, taking diversity into account. Was just gonna get 6mm as i am sure this will be more than suficient but not sure of the mcb size.
Thanks

So what will happen if your electrician isn't happy with what you buy?

What will happen if he disagrees with whichever opinion here you decide to go with?

What will happen if he adds his normal materials markup to his labour charges so that he can still live, and you end up paying more overall because you didn't get such a good price on the materials as he would?

Just get your electrician, and let him supply the cable and MCB.

That wasnt the question i asked. I get the materials for nothing so unless the electrician was gonna give them to me for free i'm sure i've got a better deal.
Could some one else be a little more helpful please and answer my question.
Thanks

Are you stealing them?

If not then can I get an account with your supplier?

If you're in England or Wales your electrician will have to sign a legal declaration to say he designed the circuit, so really you should ask him to specify the cable & MCB...
