your flue should be level not sloped back into boiler (flue has internal fall), also close to the eaves.

Well the installer hadn't installed a Vaillant for 8 years!
All the Vaillant installers were too far away and one did not want to fit Vaillant but an Alpha. This installer was Worcester accredited.

Every boiler installation in the bathroom on my street has the flue like mine.

Thats a rather disappointing situation that so many installers dont bother to read the instructions and dont understand the technicalities of the equipment they are dealing with.

My cabbage is in the dark at the moment.
