I'm moving into a new house soon. It's brand new and on inspecting a similar house I found that in the roof space they now have the insulation not only level with the joists but at least another 150 mm above them. That's good news from an Eco point of view and saving on heating costs but...
That means it not only difficult to walk around in case I miss a joist and go through the ceiling, but also I can't see any way to add a few tongue and groove boards for light storage of items like suitcases, Christmas decorations etc, without compressing the insulation.
I'll need to get up there a few times and move around at least because I'll want to bring in the satellite cable and TV to the point where the builder has terminated the cables up from the wall points.
Any ideas guys?
