New House Build

My partner and I have been discussing whether or not we should build our own house but have absolutely no idea of what this might cost

Does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to build say a 2 double bed, 2 receptions, utility room (bungalow or house) from scratch?

I appreciate this a really broad and much would depend on area etc, but any input would be helpful - many thanks!

A lot depends on where it is, build quality and howmuch you can do yourself, plus the land cost of course

Go to you local WH Smiths and get a copy of "Homebuilding & renovating" magazine, this has tables that allow you to work out a budget cost these can vary from £400-1000 per square meter floor area. There web site is:
