new isar out

BG powerflush may be more expensive, average price is around £350 + VAT, but unlike others, me included, BG gaurantee their flush for life.

whilst ideal continue to design their own heat exchangers they will continue to make carp boilers. The heat exchanger is a large part of the problem with these boilers and it remains in all the new range. They should swallow their pride(if they have any) like other sensible manufacturers and stick a gianonni in it.
The mini X has a stainless steel giannoni hex in it
Although you probably havent seen one 8)

You are an angry angry man Dangermouse aren't you
The new Isar is actually an esprit without the syphon and the low water switch(which in my opinion should have been on it).
The responses and the M series had problems but the new isar has been a hell of a lot better. All manufacturers have problems (if they didnt I and a lot more guys would be out of a job) thats what a warranty if for.
The esprit has a 5 year parts and labour warranty for 5 years with 10 year parts on hex. So fire one in and all you need to do is call back every year and service it for £60 for the first 5 years find anything wrong and report it back and we will fix it. How easy is that? You have contact with the cust for five years hopefully leading to more work and refferals and no prob with boiler.
This may seem as you said before "a sales pitch by shambolic" but they are working hard, and the will need to, to make up for a lot of problems in the past.
Sorry for the long post but I do like the boilers that I now work on(coming fae 16 years with BG I have seen all sorts out there) :D

PS if all else fails you can ask me! :D :D

fair enough and I agree all manufacturers have problems (some more than others). Ideal are still British owned (I think?) so that's a good selling point for the patriotic amongst us. I'm still a little bitter about all those responses I spent hours rebuilding that's all, hopefully the new stuff has improved.

They are still built in house apart fae the mini which is a biasi.
We are bringing out a new all singing dancing(but can it heat) new combi first/second quarter of next year. Totally different tech fae the isar. I have not seen it yet but it has been getting built and improved for over a year now. Which may be our problem as the tech moves on so fast the time we bring it out its old hat. We can only wait and see!

:D
