If putting a new kitchen in lino is already down, units in and worktop will be in before appliances fit. What if the best way of getting the appliances in place without damaging the lino? Thanks

Very thin strips of plastic, the appliances will slide over the plastic then with careful leverage slightly lift the appliances and pull out the plastic

Or if the rubber feet refuse to slide on the plastic then use the plastic as a sled

Spray the floor where the feet are with furniture polish, it will slide in.

But then in the case of a washing machine ‐ slide around in the gap for months, banging on the side of cabinets

You could use the cardboard it came in to slide it in and slightly lift washer to pull the cardboard out.

I had a problem doing that with a fridge because it has feet on the front but the back had little skids that dug into the cardboard so I couldnt get it out but thankfully the fridge was not yet full of my beer so it wasn’t heavy

Did you use marrow bone grease under the cardboard?
