Hi,
ive just installed some wire rope lighting in a large bedroom. In total its 600w. Now the problem is that every time i switch them on it trips the mcb. Sometimes they will switch on normally but most of the time it trips.
Ive tried disconnecting the transformers and have 4 running but its still doing the same. Even upped the 6A to a 10A but no use. These are the heavy duty wire wound square transformers mounted up in the loft.

What do do?

Is it ok to tap off a line from the ring main (Spur) put a FCU inline and then power up the lights? This is a last resort if possible in the hope that they dont continue to trip.
Thanks for any advice

Oh forgot to add; this is a large house and when the cleaner switches the vacuum cleaner on the lights flicker (very very slightly). Any idea what would cause this?

It may be the initial current surge which is causing the trip. I would try a 6A type C MCB, assuming that your existing one is a type B, this has a "slower" trip curve and is commonly used for such situations.
This should be done only after a competent electrician has investigated the problem; and tested the circuit to ensure the new MCB will meet the disconnection times, for safety reasons.
