Good evening. What would the step by steps be for putting in a new water tank? The 42 gallon tank from Wickes is right.

The water can be switched off at the mains, but then what would be next? Turning off all the isolator valves? But not all the pipes have isolator valves.

The tank appears to supply the shower pump too.

Can any new lengths of pipe be hose or is there a bye law requiring copper? There is also a reference to a byelaw 30 kit, so how is that kit installed?

Also, some of the existing copper pipes need to be rerouted so can the pipes switched off with at the isolator valve still be bent with a pipe bender even with water in?

Thx.

Thanks.

There are two stretches of 22mm copper pipe. If the pipes are shut off with the isolator valve and disconnected from the tank, they still then have water in. A pipe bender would still bend the pipe. For what reason would they not bend just because they water in?

Thx.

Builder 2011 is the name you have given yourself, is this when you come into the country?  or when you will pass your 6 week course?

Ok Ok, its bash the builder day!

Actually the pipes are rerouted, compression fittings in place, hoses fitted to the new tank, and new tank installed. A pro can rip it out when the full conversion happens but its fine for now. Thanks for reading.
