I have ~£600 to spend on a mitre saw. Three that jump out:
Bosch GCM 8 SDE: https://www.campbellmillertools.co....ouble-bevel-sliding-mitre-saw-240v-0601b19270
Bosch GCM 350 254: https://www.campbellmillertools.co....uble-bevel-sliding-mitre-saw-1800w-0601b22670
Dewalt 727: https://www.howetools.co.uk/dewalt-...t3Fzqh4dSCtMA6iB1r-YI9_pZqj4WyFIaArQDEALw_wcB
The Bosch 350-254 is obviously a bit above budget and quite a bit larger and heavier. That said, I could be persuaded if the concensus is that it is worth it.
I currently have a basic sliding mitre with ~70mm cut depth and 285mm length/ (reach, range? whatever it's called). It's a very old Metabo KGS216 M and is okay, but bevelled cuts have always 'wandered' as the rails just aren't rigid enough.
All of these new options (especially the Bosch's), have greater length of cut and the 350-254 has almost 12" blade like capacity. Obvs the smaller Bosch and the Dewalt have less depth of cut at 70mm and 77mm respectively. Odd that the Dewalt is only 77mm given the 10" blade but apparently it's true.
Whilst maximum depth and length of cut would be nice, I think what I really need is better accuracy of cut (especially bevelled over) and better ergonomics/useability.
Any thoughts on whether there is a winner among these?
Ta.
