Hi all
I installed a new nightlatch today and I have noticed that the door still locks perfectly but now does not close as tight as the strike pate does not pull the lock as tight.
Is this normal, what can be done to tighten it back up.
Also I wil swap the new strike plate for a euro access electric strike plate.

You need to fit it tighter then, but if your fitting a electric strike wait until then.

Remember electric strikes are not as strong as a standard striking plate unless you spend a lot.

fit it tighter?
i have cheiseled out the part for the screws but the part that has the recess is flush to the wood.
seems that the locking position on the new lock is not as tight as the old one.
would packing the door with insulation roll do that trick or should i do something with the woodwork?
thanks
