I have a courtyard garden and I would like put outdoor lights on the left and the right-hand walls.

The cable on the walls will be hidden beneath render and run up a conduit. The cables on the ground will run underneath decking.

Would I need to use armoured cable or something like Arctic, and what specific type (two core, three core etc..)

What kind of IP rated junction boxes would I need?

many thanks

Doesn't sound like you need the protection of SWA - but use hituf, not arctic. 3 core in case you or someone else wants to fit Class I luminaires.

JBs shoud be appropriate - IP54 as absolute minimum, or 55 if they could get sprayed wit water, e.g. during cleaning.

Part P, BTW?
