Decided its was time to make a start on rear garden for summer barbies.. Had a partial patio before, mainly heavy duty square slabs laid on Concrete base. These have all been taken up now to leave whats shown in below images.
My plan is to extend existing concrete bases to wider/larger area using type one, edge with sleepers/block paviors and then lay new slabs back on top. Question I have is what to bed slabs down with, as builder friend said sharp sand would not bond enough and to use normal builders sand. Also any tips on fixing sleepers down would be helpful. Any advice overall would be welcomed.. Cheers J
