Hi,need some advice please, I have an indirect heating system with hot water cylinder, mid position valve, water tanks etc,hot water tank has thermostat on it,there is a room thermostat downstairs. my current heating programmer (potterton ep2000) only has the facility for h/w only or h/w & heat only,to be able to fully operate h/w & heating independently ie,heating working on its own , would I just need to fit a more modern heating programmer ? Or is there other things that need addressing. :D

It sounds as if all you need is a new programmer or programmable thermostat. Some rewiring may be necessary.
