Certainly sounds like it, if your system is dirty it can muller a pump in weeks if not sooner, maybe that the impellor has broken off and is still under warranty.

prob is dirty, when rads all worked before it started playing up, most of them were hot at the top and cold at the bottom.what now?,do i have to take all rads off to flush them out or can u just put something in the system, and then fit a new pump?

Hi

Had the same problem, what i would do is remove the worse affected radiators and flush out.
Then put some sentinel X400 or Fernox DS40 in the system, leave in system for upto a week. Then flush out, fill back up then all should be good!
If not pump may need cleaning or replacing!!
After every thing is ok after that remember to add a inhibitor!!

For Sentinel X400, several weeks is better! DS 40 for a week and it might be trying to dissolve its way out..
Flushing out the rads is fine, also see stuff in the ref section.
Wilo and Dab pumps, probably others, wear out fast in drty water.
