Hi, i want to add a radiator to my conservatory while i am confident enough with the practical side of things i am not sure if i should tap into the existing pipework from the bedrooms approx 5 mtrs away or downstairs approx 3 mtrs away i would be grateful for any advice.

In principle isn't doesn't matter, which ever is easiest.

But you ought to try and assess if there is enough capacity in the existing pipework to supply the new rad as well.

It also should be on its own zone completely Independant from the rest of the system.

Thanks guys for the quick reply but as stated not savvy with the principles so if you could just expand on the following i would be really grateful.

Galoka___ try and assess if there is enough capacity in the existing pipework to supply the new rad as well.

Armo____It also should be on its own zone completely Independant from the rest of the system.

This is a building regs thing, you used to be able to have a radiator in a conservatory no probs, then BR said it has to have its own TRV, then they said it has to be completely seperate to the main heating system. You can get oil filled electric radiators, or you could just ignore BR. Heating a conservatory is a bit pointless though, just heats the sky so just use a fan heater or similar when the room is actually in use.
