New skim over artex- care?

Just having 2 large rooms celing skimmed. The plasterer has left without telling me what to do next! He said it was going off very quickly by which I assume he means it was drying faster than he'd perhaps expected.

Would I be right in thinking I shouldn't put the heating back on in those rooms tonight for fear of the plaster cracking?

A gentle heat wont do any harm to the plaster at all,,
and just for your information,, "plaster going off very quickly" means it is "setting" quickly,,, that's what your plasterer meant.
