Hi Everyone,
Myself and my wife have moved into our first "old house" dated 1951, I am having to deal with things when decorating i've not seen before. Our first baby is due in 8 weesk and im trying to sort out the nursery.
I've steam stripped the old paper (3 layers!!!) with and taken it back to the wall. what a mess. the wall is a very porous, flakey white material with parts of old original paint on it.
I really doubt it will take paint, let alone achieve a decent finnish. Can it be skimmed straight onto the surface or do you think it will need sealing??
Thanks for your help.
Paul
