New wall hung toilet, is it difficult and expensive?

Hi Folks,

Wanting to renovate my new home. We have a very small toilet room, so thought to maximise space, replace the normal old toilet with a wall hung unit but not sure if they are worth the hassle in terms of installation and reliabiltiy and price. Never install this type before.

Can anyone comment and also if it's worth the effort and recomond some good makes.

You wont save anything space wise using a wall hung toilet, you still have the depth of the cistern to take into account, a space saver toilet would be a better option.

I was called out last month to fit a new toilet seat to a wall hung toilet, it had concealed hinges. The toilet was discontinued 10 years ago, the seat had to be ordered from France at at cost of £156.00

Get a floor standing toilet with accessible hinges, and access to the syphon.
