Hi All,

Had the front door moved forward a few meters to make the small hall a little bigger, you can see here the bodge the builder has done joining the new and old wall.

Would you get him back out to sort ? Or just do it yourself ? To be honest, he has been a nightmare !

Thanks

The skirting could do with being one piece. He probably didn't take the part off when the flooring is because it could have danamged the floor covering trying to remove it. The wall is just a skim some easi fill on, sand it, and paint up.

Surely he could of lined up the skirting better ? And skimmed right across the wall ?

Just don't want to go back and sound like I'm moaning about nothing

A few meters- don't think so :)
The job is a bit carp. Skirting will be the hardest to fix. Not really acceptable for a paid job- get him back.

I get the impression the builder will pull a face, and not want to correct this.

It does need doing though, it will always look a mess.

As said, it needs two new whole pieces of skirting board.

It needs a good, patient carpenter. They do exist.
