Hi
My brand New AAA Warmflow oil boiler struggles to ignite when cold. My plumber has been on to Warmflow who suggested head increase, it now ignite after automatically trying 4 or 5 times with a smell of oil . When warmed up it fine.
The flue is 3 metres vertical, which is far short of the max 8 metre
Any ideas please as I get back to Warmflow
Thanks

I would call in a 'plumber' who knows what he is doing. If you can smell oil, then obviously it is down to combustion settings,( assuming your oil is not contaminated).

As above get a decent oil engineer. All condensing oil boilers work perfectly happily on short flues, very short in external models.
And I wish you luck trying to talk to warmflow and get any sense and don't bother at all when it's out of warranty they won't even speak to you.
