I cooked something earlier today and noticed the dials were hot as I adjusted the temperature control.
The whole panel felt hot and still does, 20 minutes later.
This does not usually occur.
Can anyone advise?

Hi There,

It sounds like the oven door seal is on it's way out. what happens is the heat generated from the oven escapes through the top heating the fascia panel up at the same time.

How old is the cooker?

Hi
The oven is about 8 years old.
What I think happened was that for some reason, the external fan didn't come on.
Situated at the rear, I think it draws in cold air through to the back of the panel, to keep it from getting hot.
When the oven's turned off, the rear fan continues for about 10 minutes
The problem has happened once since then.

Hi,

Huge long shot here but do you still have this cooker, and if so, can you post a photograph of the controls?

I've just moved into a house with this cooker but the markings have worn off so I can't see where the dials should be positioned.

I have a manual but it has no doagrams in it.
