Hi,

I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction with a problem I have.

I had an old double socket in a room which had no on off switch, and the socket was always live, so I bought a new double socket with on/off switch and usb inputs to replace it

I turned the fuse off and removed the old socket and I could see two grey wires both supplying neutral, live and earth, and replaced like for like,

Once I had replaced the socket, regardless of what position the switch is on the right
Hand side, the Appliance continues to work. However the left hand side socket behaves
as it should.

hoping someone can help, cause it’s doing my ‘ead in.....
Thanks
