Newly plastered wall

Hi,
I have just had a wall re plastered any thoughts on how long I need to leave it before giving it a first coat, and what is best the coat to use for new plaster ?

Plaster needs to be completely dry. If it was just skimmed this might be a week, if more than that you might need to wait a few weeks to make sure it is dry. You don't want damp trapped behind paint. The plaster will go a uniform light colour
