Hi All,

I've recently moved into a house with this alarm....It has window vibration detectors and door connectors and one PIR in the Garage...

Couple of mornings ago, I forgot to turn it off, opened the back door and the alarm went off......Input the code to turn it off and it continued...Panic! lol...

Went to the garage and turned off the mains power to the house, this didnt help, it was still going off....Tried the code several more times to no avail...I then changed the code as per the manual...This acutally worked and the alarm went off...

Two days later, the alarm box on the outisde wall at the back off the house made a noise like it was going off but much much quieter....This was without the alaarm even being set....since then it's periodically making very strange noises, each sounding like it has less life than before....

Common sense would suggest there's a battery that needs replacing, is this the case?? If so, will taking the old battery out and replacing affect any of the way it operates?

Cheers guys
